What we check before we start
- Roof size and number of sheets
- Type and condition of the fixings
- Ridge pieces, roof lights and flashings
- Whether the contents and any vehicles can be moved
- Access for lowering sheets safely
- Any ceiling lining or insulation below the roof
Protecting your property
We cover the floor, protect nearby surfaces and plants, and keep the work zone clear of people and pets. If your neighbours share a wall, we tell you what to say and keep the area tidy at the end of each day.

How we do the work
Confirm the material
Photos and, where needed, a sample confirm the sheets are asbestos cement and not another product.
Set up the work zone
Contents are moved or covered, signs and barriers go up, and the ground is protected.
Take the sheets down
We wet the sheets, remove fixings by hand and lower each sheet whole. No power tools and no breaking.
Clean and wrap
Debris is vacuumed with HEPA equipment, surfaces are wiped, and sheets are wrapped and sealed.
Dispose with paperwork
A registered carrier takes the waste to an authorised site and you get the consignment note.
Asbestos waste is double-bagged, sealed and taken by a registered carrier to an authorised disposal site. You receive a waste consignment note as your legal record.
